Eh Janam Tumhare Lekhe tells the story of the life of Bhagat Puran Singh, who established the well known Pingalwara in Amritsar for the sick, disabled and abandoned forlorn people. He was honored with Padma Shri award in 1979, but he returned all his awards and medals after the attack on the Golden Temple in 1984.
